2007: American Institute of Certified Public Accountants

Durham Celebration, July 4, 2007

When the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants contacted me through Ann Stewart Fine Art in the spring of 2007 and I was asked to create an original work to represent AICPA’s move from the New York Metropolitan Area to Durham, North Carolina, I turned to the classic American car as a way to evoke this move. My challenge was to incorporate in one picture aspects of north and south - the old landscape and the new - while at the same time making an image that celebrated what seemed to me a bold and innovative move.
