Steven Soderbergh films BENICIO DEL TORO as Che. Soderbergh is well-known for working behind the camera in all his films. In CHE he filmed like this with a camera on a fixed tripod, but also used a hand-held camera strapped to his waist and moved through some of the unfolding scenes. To practice his hand-held scenes, Soderbergh would first walk through several practice sessions, using only his eyes as a camera.
